New Deliveries at West Shore Fire
Here are some of our latest deliveries.
Robinson Township Fire Department - September 2008
Chief Paul VanVelzen of Robinson Twp Fire Department took delivery of a Custom Fab & Body Rescue Truck. It is a 2008 C550 Chevy Chassis with a 6.6 Duramax Diesel and an Allison Transmission. It has a 225 gallon poly tank with an 18 hp Darley Pump. It holds four 6,000 psi Cylinders to run their single containment fill station. The FRC Optimum 750 watt push-up lights surround the rear. The truck is complete with a 9,000 lb removable wench, a 6 kw under-hood generator and rear bumper hose lay storage.
Porter Fire Department - September 2008
Chief Michael Holdeman of Porter Fire has taken delivery of a Custom Fab & Body Pumper Tanker. It has a Kenworth Chassis and Allison Transmission. The body is all aluminum with many compartments. The Poly tank holds 3,000 gallons of water and a Waterous 500 gpm pump. There are 3 Newton Electric dump Chutes as well, one on each side and one in the rear which can be activated from the cab or at each individual Chute.
The departments 3,500 gallon Fold-A-Tank is stored in a manual drop down rack on the side of the body. The truck is also outfitted with Akron Brass Extend-A-Lights. Also included is a back up camera complete with picture and sound.
Jonesville Fire Department
Chief Dean Adair recently took delivery of a West Shore Fire specialty pump Trailer. The trailer consists of a 1000 GPM Darley pump powered by a John Deere 220 HP diesel engine. There are two 6” inlets, four 2 ½” discharges and an illuminated control panel. The unit has a floor mounted hose tray and troughs for two 6” soft suction. There are two 12-volt tri-pod tele-lites. The unit is mounted on a tandem trailer with electronic brakes. The unit was rhino-coated in high use areas to prevent wear. West Shore Fire also recently helped Jonesville Fire Department outfit a new Brush by supplying them with a skid unit and lightbar.
