In 1979, I worked with a couple of our West Shore Services staff members to establish West Shore Fire, Inc. The principle reasons why I founded the company were to take care of what I considered to be a serious lack of dedicated service providers in the fire service arena. Over the years, West Shore Fire has evolved into a full fire service business. We have alliances with the best and most progressive vendors in the industry and I am proud to say that we have a very loyal, knowledgeable and dedicated staff to take care of your needs.
Some basic information on the four divisions of West Shore Fire are as follows:
Marine:
If you have been around our Allendale facility lately, you may have seen the Coast Guard rescue boats which have begun to arrive at our shop for repair from all over the region, some from as far away as Niagara Falls.
We provide rescue boats from inflatables up to full size fire boats and everything in between. If you have water rescue needs, we can help.
Loose Equipment:
As I mentioned earlier, we represent the top fire equipment manufacturers in the industry. Our loose equipment line card includes Globe turnout gear, Scott breathing apparatus, Bullard helmets and thermal imaging cameras, Amkus rescue tools, Task Force nozzles, valves and fittings. We also handle Eagle air compressors, Cascade Systems and Fill Stations. If you check our product listing, you will find almost every major manufacturer represented.
Please feel free to call our knowledgeable and friendly customer service staff or your local West Shore Fire sales agent any time we can be of assistance.
Service:
We service what we sell! In fact, we have the capabilities to service most of what other companies sell as well. West Shore has a full service apparatus maintenance facility in Allendale, Michigan. We also have mobile service units available in Traverse City and St. John's as well as mobile service units that are dispatched from our Allendale facility. We like to think of our service as "Limp in, Leap out", I bet you haven't heard that lately.
We have extensive fabrication capabilities which go hand in hand with repair work on existing apparatus along with custom solutions as well for our new apparatus sales.
We have a mobile service unit dedicated to support the inspection and annual preventative maintenance on Scott breathing apparatus. This unit also provides service for our breathing air compressor customers throughout the state.
Our service technicians are factory trained and certified and I think you will find our services are pretty darn good. If we are not providing service to your department currently, I hope you will give us an opportunity to do so in the future.
Thank you for your continued business and support.
Best Wishes,
Jeffrey J. Du Pilka
President
